Welcome to Light of Gaeldom, Fine Art Landscape photography.

On this site - concentrating predominantly on the landscape of the Scottish Highlands - you'll find a steadily growing collection of fine art landscape photographs... images of wild coastlines and towering hills, of quiet lochs and thundering torrents... of abstract images that the wanderer may on occasion become aware of...
and of those sad places where man once thrived and where in time he may again.

To be in the Highlands... where all four seasons can flash by in moments and the fearsome Highland midge turn the bravest man in to a wildly arm flailing refugee... is for me akin to a religion, where on every point of the compass stand my "cathedrals".

The Highlands - the Gaeldom of the site title - their history and their heritage are my passion, and so in my photography I strive to purvey the essence of what it is to be at one with this land, to capture the symbiotic flux of light and apparently changing form which is - in my perhaps biased opinion - unique.

I hope that by wandering through this site, you too may be able to share with me
the majesty of the Scottish Highlands.
